The next meeting of the MacPeople Gainesville Area Macintosh Users Group will be on Thursday, October 9, 2014, from 6:00-8:30 pm in the University of Florida Entomology-Nematology Bldg., room 1031 (building in the woods just east of the Performing Arts Center). Need Directions?

6:00 – 6:50 –  Question and Answer
An informal Question and Answer session lead by one of our volunteers. Bring your problems questions and with our philosophy of “members helping members” the group will use our collective knowledge to help you find a solution.

6:50 – 7:00 – Announcements and Break
Refreshments will be available during the break. As a courtesy to other members, we request the refreshments not be opened until our scheduled break. Please, help yourself to the coffee at anytime.

7:00 – 7:20 – Day One – Ellen
Ellen presents Day One, a simple journal for Mac and iOS that allows you to quickly enter your thoughts and memories and have them synced and backed up in the cloud.
7:20 – 7:50 – Why Use An Email Client – Miranda
Are you still using webmail for managing your email? Miranda gives us an introduction to using a dedicated email client and the benefits it has over webmail.

7:50 – 8:00 – Prize Drawing
We invite you to participate in our monthly prize drawing. A selection of Apple and/or technology related prizes will be available. Please see the treasurer no later than 15 minutes prior to the drawing to purchase your tickets.

8:00 – 8:30 – A Preview of  Yosemite – Bill
