The next meeting of the MacPeople Gainesville Area Macintosh Users Group will be on Thursday, November 13, 2014, from 6:00-8:30 pm in the University of Florida Entomology-Nematology Bldg., room 1031 (building in the woods just east of the Performing Arts Center). Need Directions?

6:00 – 6:45 –  Question and Answer
An informal Question and Answer session lead by one of our volunteers. Bring your problems questions and with our philosophy of “members helping members” the group will use our collective knowledge to help you find a solution.

6:45 – 7:00 – Officer Nominations, Announcements and Break
It’s time to nominate officers for 2015. Nominations will be accepted via email prior to the meeting or in person at the meeting. Nominations will close at 7:00 p.m. on November 13, 2014. Elections will be held at the December Meeting.

Refreshments will be available during the break. As a courtesy to other members, we request the refreshments not be opened until our scheduled break. Please, help yourself to the coffee at anytime.

7:00 – 7:30 – Overview of Email Clients – Miranda and Rick
Following-up on last month’s meeting, Miranda and Rick give us an overview of their favorite email clients including  Postbox, MailPlane and Apple Mail.

7:30 – 8:00 – Are You Ready for Yosemite? – Bill
Bill runs down the requirements for running Apple’s newest operating system, OS X Yosemite and discusses what Mac users need to know and how to prepare for upgrading their machine.

8:00 – 8:10- Prize Drawing
We invite you to participate in our monthly prize drawing. A selection of Apple and/or technology related prizes will be available. Please see the treasurer no later than 15 minutes prior to the drawing to purchase your tickets.

8:10 – 8:30 – Show & Tell – Your Favorite Accessory
What is your favorite accessory to use with your Mac or iOS device? Do you have a unique case, bag, stand, travel accessory, or adapter? Bring them in and show them off to your fellow members and tell us what it is and why you like it.
